Getting Back To Routines (and the Main House)

First, I should note, that I found out I can copy a Sim from my library of creations and have them in another game. I think that I’m going to bring Lillie and Meryl over and set her up in a house so that my Main House sims can get interaction with her.

I needed to take a moment to reorient myself with who is doing what in this house. There’s so much going on.

  • When we begin our adventure, Evan is sleeping in the bathtub, Niks is on the computer trolling people, Dorian is asleep (I’d forgotten how old he is, he’s sure to kick the bucket soon), Kenzie is wandering around being miserable for some reason, and Isla is working on a new game.
  • Oh yeah. Kenzie is miserable because it’s Love Day and her boyfriend is a ghost, and she can’t have any of the interactions with him because he won’t come over during the day. Right. Right right right.
  • Love Day was a failure for everybody. To be fair, this part of the game got added when they were in the middle of a day, and they didn’t all have time to do the things they wanted to. Next time.

I’ve decided to get rid of the Ghost House so that eventually Lillie and Meryl can move in. I’m going to go about it slowly though. I’m going to move the ghosts back over to the Main House one by one, suck up their simoleons and then release them into the Netherworld.

  • Delilah has been moved back into the house. She’s got quite a few royalties still coming in, so I think it’ll be a while before she gets booted back to real death.
  • Since Dorian has taken a shine to woodworking, the family has decided to invest in a retail space where he can sell his stuff. They’ll probably sell other stuff too, honestly. But this will give him a nice little project, and maybe he’ll stop moping around the house so much. Isla sure isn’t interested in him at all anymore.
  • Well, that worked a lot quicker than I thought it would. He was pretty instantly cheered up and excited after I finished setting the store up.
  • Niks got promoted at her job, she is now a Petty Thief.

I disabled auto aging for a little bit. I want to get some of these activities on hold without worrying about a time limit. And I’m not ready for Niks and Evan to be adults. They need to get their careers in place, and figure out if they are going to be a thing. Plus, now that Dorian is actually happy for a change, I’d like to give him some time in his life to be that.

I pulled Delilah back into the ghost house, because she’s got so much in royalties still coming in, and Zechariah was pissing me off, constantly coming to the house and breaking all the shit. While good for Evan, since he needs to level up his handiness skill, it’s really irritating to every other sim who has to deal with water everywhere and potential electrocution.

  • I guess it’s because they aren’t officially dating, but Evan wouldn’t sleep in the same bed with Niks. He instead crawled into bed with Kenzie. His mom. He’s. He’s too old for this. Why is this happening.
  • Dorian has been churning out woodworking like crazy. It’s like he gets into a loop. Make one, get inspired, make another. He’s going to have so much inventory for his little store.
  • Zech is returning to the Netherworld. See ya. Thanks for possessing my shit all the time, you dick.
  • This, oddly, has improved Kenzie’s mood a lot.
  • Evan got promoted to Low Orbit Specialist.
  • Dorian had a smashing day at his shop. He did really good business, a lot of people bought things, and he had a great time. Unfortunately, his employee cost him more than what he brought in. Hopefully he’ll be able to change that as he makes better stuff woodworking, and his business gains positive reputation.
  • Niks got promoted again, this time to Ringleader. She’s doing really well at this job. When she’s not at work, she sleeps a lot, though. It’s weird.
  • Moved Alexander into the house. He didn’t have anything going on at all, so he got sent to the Netherworld really fast. Mostly because I’m anxious to get Lillie into the other house.
  • Lillie and Meryl have been added to the Ghost House, and Delilah has been moved back into the Main House. We’ll let her do her thing for a while, and let the royalties run out, and then she can go away too.
  • Niks and Evan have shared their first kiss. It was super cute.
  • I got Evan the free services perk, and it’s really cut down on the amount of money leaving the house. These people really need a maid. None of them clean, ever. EVAN. WHY ARE YOU PEEING AND DRINKING COFFEE AT THE SAME TIME.
  • For some reason, Delilah will not do anything on her own. She stands around after work hungry, tired, and filthy.
  • The family got a money tree, Niks has taken up gardening.
  • Dorian is way too tied up in the store, I kept him from it for three days so he could make some more stuff, and now he’s very very sad again. VERY sad. So we’re going to the store.
  • Niks was promoted again. She makes a really good criminal, I guess.
  • Dorian’s day at the store was pretty good. He made some sales, talked to a few people, and discovered that he cannot order a pizza to the store for some reason. He was very very hungry by the time he got home, but ultimately much happier. I’m kind of getting sick of him, though. Might let him die.

Pictures from the Main House

Here are some family pictures, since I realized that the Main House got a little ignored when it came to showing off the people.

And now for all the house upgrades that have happened since the last time.

Because of Evan’s career path, he needed some basic things. “Basic”. Not like they aren’t HUGE AND COST A FORTUNE.

A third floor was added. With a room specifically for kids. Two, actually, because there’s a playroom over there too. Evan’s bedroom is in the front right corner here. Niks is sleeping in the back right bedroom. Because they won’t share a bed yet. In the top left corner you see a gaming rig, and I had to lock the door for everyone, since they wouldn’t go to work, or do anything, they just all played the game.

The master suite has stayed the same, mostly. I changed the tub to one from the vampires add-on since everyone was going all the way into the basement to have a bath.

Nothing much has changed on the main floor.

And the basement, where I have left another little bedroom for strays.

Vampire Teenage Days

  •  Lillie took everyone to the vets office so she could get some age down treats, and decided to get both cats fixed while they were there. Two cats is enough cats. While Sasha was getting her procedure done, Meryl wandered outside and got bitten by a squirrel. She got some preventative medicine, as well as an age-down treat. Hopefully that means she’ll stay healthy. I mean, I know the treat won’t do anything aside from making sure she doesn’t die on us.
  • Ant aged up to a teenager finally, and now she’s a vampire, too. Apparently you have to grow into it? I don’t know. She is very unhappy about being a teenager so far. Her hair is black now. She’s also wearing cat ears. Once again, Lillie tried to throw her a birthday party (and once again the game said nobody was having a birthday. I found a bit of a workaround by way of adding an event to the calendar.) The party was a huge failure. Just huge. Flop. Nobody had fun. The caterer didn’t make a cake. Ant couldn’t finish any of the tasks to make it successful. This poor kid.
  • She apparently doesn’t realize that she’s a vampire. That should be fun.
  • Lillie tried to make up for the shitty birthday by taking Ant to the GeekCon. Where she promptly took off in the rocket to explore space (you go, Lillie! You’ve spent enough time catering to a child, live your alien dreams!) Ant wandered around, baking in the sun.
  • Oh no. I think Ant might actually HAVE cat ears… they’re on all the outfits that were pre made. Is this a thing? And where would she have inherited cat ears from? Was V a cat in disguise!? Oh no.

I took some time to sort out Ant’s clothing (it was all kind of ugly looking), and I cannot find a place to remove the cat ears. So. I guess this is her now. Wandering around in cat ears. And listen. I’m just gonna say this. It’s mean. But Lillie shouldn’t have had a baby with V. Ant is kinda ugly. Her profile is really rough.

How can a child have ZERO traits from their mother? Nothing? She got EVERYTHING from V. Poor, poor kid.

OH it’s a hairstyle/wig. Thank the lord almighty.

Slightly improved. Slightly. Doesn’t make that face go away, though.

  • Lillie has a lot less to do now that Ant is a teenager. There’s not quite as much parenting and making sure the kid stays fed and alive. Naturally, she’s using her free time to make snow angels.
  • Ant is sad ALL THE TIME. Angsty teenage thing, maybe? She cries in bed a lot.
  • With the ability to pick up an after school job, Ant’s decided to become a scout. While it doesn’t actually pay, it’ll help her become the goody-two-shoes that I personally think would be hilarious for her to be.
  • Meryl and Sasha apparently didn’t actually get fixed during that very long vet trip, so they’re still going into heat. I would like it to stop. There’s going to have to be another attempt.

Vampire snow angels.

I think I have to get back to the main house for a while. It’s a little bit stressful to raise a baby vampire. I’ve also decided to keep the games for Lillie and all the others apart, so that I don’t end up with them doing stupid shit when I’m not controlling them, since it’s not at all easy to switch between households. It seems to me that it used to be you could run a couple houses and switch between sims without loading a whole new game? Did I hallucinate that? Anyway. No Lillie over at the Main House, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be vampire involvement.

Antoinette

  • Lillie went to work the day after she gave birth to Antoinette. I tried to keep her home, but the option for family leave did not appear in the options. So she got a nanny for the day. Buuuut the nanny left before Lillie’s shift was over. I had no idea that the kid would be sent to daycare, but I’m SUPER GLAD SHE WAS. Holy fuck. The baby would have been left alone for a really long time, as Lillie was only halfway through her workday.
  • V showed up as a ghost and cried a lot.
  • Lillie planted a cow plant seed, and then with the baby kind of forgot about it. It grew anyway, and it’s adorable. It also apparently tries to lure sims in with pie? Perhaps to eat them? Maybe I should have waited to kill V to see if that’s what it does. (I’m trying to google as little as possible, if you couldn’t tell.)
  • Ainsley came over and instead of coming inside, she saw V’s gravestone and started crying. Lillie kept trying to show the baby off, and Ainsley wouldn’t come inside.
  • Oh no. The cow plant died. OH NO. This is horrible. It looks pretty cool though. BUT ALSO, OH NO.
  • Antoinette has aged up to a toddler, and I cannot help but wonder how the FUCK she turned out to be a ginger. This makes no sense. NONE.
  • Lillie can travel as a bat with Antoinette in her arms. That’s pretty cool. Maybe scary for the baby, though.
  • Lillie really hates being a single parent. She isn’t as interested in having a kid now that she actually has one. There’s a lot of issue getting her to take care of said child.
  • Meryl is sick, and Lillie is having a hard time finding a moment to take her to the vet between the kid and work. She’s really unhappy with her life at the moment, never gets a second to rest, and is always stressed out. I feel like this is what she gets for being so baby crazy without understanding what that means. It’s a really good thing that Antoinette is a quiet, loving baby, and not some shitty hellion demon from Bratlandia. When she finally gets to take Meryl to the vet, it costs several hundred to cure her.
  • Finally, with a few days off, Lillie decides to take Antoinette to the cat hangout so they can relax, and so Meryl can have a chance to try for kittens again. Which is probably not a great idea, given how much stress Lillie is feeling about everything at the moment.
  • Lillie is such a staunch loner that spending time with her own kid makes all her moodlets go down.
  • Antoinette has aged up to a child. No more toddler running around bullshit, and now Lillie doesn’t have to worry about a nanny when she wants to go do anything. Hopefully this will help her moods. The kid, on the other hand, is depressed, because she didn’t get a birthday party (because when I tried to give her one, the game told me that nobody in the house was having a birthday, and then suddenly she’d aged.) So we’re starting this stage of life on a real good note. She’s also gone from a ginger to having brown hair.
  • Meryl finally found a male cat who wasn’t intimidated by her, and she’s going to have some kittens! Baby daddy is legit named Chandler. He’s a freaking nutball, too. The important thing here is that there are going to be kittens in the house! I wonder how many. This was probably a mistake.
  • A strange difficulty I keep running into is that Antoinette doesn’t like Lillie very much, because Lillie does that hissing thing that causes discomfort for everyone around her. It’s causing Ant to be Very Sad a lot, and she doesn’t often listen to Lillie’s guidance. I think the saving grace here is the amount of studying about parenting that Lillie did before she even had a kid. Her time spent arguing on the forums gave her a pretty bulky parenting stat going in. With it only raising with every act of Momming she does, she’s gotten to a point where, now that Ant is a kid and susceptible to direction, the girl actually listens. But I think that she might benefit for some time away from Lillie, if I can figure out how to arrange that without triggering the Left Behind sadness.
  • The kitten has been born! (I’m so glad it was only one kitten.) (also, that was a really fast pregnancy) Right now it looks exactly like Meryl. I wonder if it’ll change anything when aging up. Her name is Sasha, and she seems to have gotten most of her personality traits from Chandler. I’m glad the coat decoration was a dominant trait, though. I wonder if I can breed other colors into it. I saw a breeding thing when I was making Meryl.
  • Ainsley stopped coming around so much when Lillie moved into the new house, so she decided to get a butler (I gave her the perk of not paying for services when I could afford to). I wanted her to have somebody who could make food for Ant and clean up while she tended to everything else she was into. The first butler was an ass. He didn’t do what he was supposed to, and he was really rude to everybody. Lillie fired him and tried again, this time finding somebody who doesn’t seem to mind the household so much, and is good at his job. Hilariously, the cats keep trying to fight him because they’re territorial.
  • The still-quite-dead Vladislaus keeps asking Ant if she wants to come over to his house. That she is currently living in. I am a little weirded out about this. It’s creepy, especially considering he’s still quite firmly wearing his Dark Side and looks like Nosferatu, thus it’s Nosferatu asking a little girl if she wants to come hang out outside her own home.
  • Sasha has aged up, and still looks enough like Meryl that it’s very confusing.
  • Ant is going through A Phase. She’s questioning authority, talking back. Lillie’s about to lay down the law. This is not going to happen in this house.

The cow plant. Before and after. I’m so sad that this happened. So very very sad. It was so cute.

Look! The baby is floating!

They’re so cute. And so hard to tell apart.

This is a bit on the blurry side, but I had to have proof of it in this post. It’s creepy, right?

  • To break the current monotony of trying to keep a kid in line, Lillie decided to take Ant to the park with Caleb. Give her a chance to make some friends maybe, and hang out. Probably not the greatest idea for a vampire to go to the park, but she’s so stressed out she doesn’t know what to do with herself. Plus, Meryl is now an elderly cat, and the butler she thought was so great just ceased doing any kind of work. She should have eaten him.
  • Somehow the park trip went well, even though Ant kept falling asleep, and Caleb was moody as fuck. Lillie sent Ant home after that and went to the cat hangout to try to work on her aspirations of making friends with a bunch of animals. Of course, since it’s the dead of winter, there weren’t any animals out and about. Being 1am probably also didn’t help.

I think I’m gonna age down Meryl again. I think I’m just going to age down Meryl forever. Probably Sasha, too.

  • Just to see what would happen, I let Ant accept an invitation from V to go to his house. Yeah. Nothing. She’s in the house. This is such a weird glitch. There was no interaction. No sign of him coming inside.
  • Ant is a pretty okay kid, for being a kid. But sometimes she’s such a shitface. Lillie took her to volunteer at a nursing home to make her grow some empathy. Hopefully she won’t be such a monster as a teenager. It’s weird, because every other trait is in the green, and she’s sitting at neutral empathy.

Killing Vladislaus

As the title says.

  •  While he’s slowly dying, I’ve decided to force V into churning out paintings, so Lillie can have a nice cushion.
  • I realized that I will get to see what happens when a sim doesn’t show up for work. He’s got two days until he’s supposed to be there, and obviously he’s not going to make it.
  • Lillie’s desire for children has increased since getting married to Vladislaus, so I decided to let her try for a baby with him before he kicks the bucket. Since he was in a weakened state, and very unhappy with his life, it took a couple tries to even get him into bed. They get one shot at this, and then that’s it. If she doesn’t get pregnant this time, she’ll just have to wait.
  • I have to figure out if I made it so that Meryl will never be a full grown cat. If I did, I have to fix it, because she can’t get up the stairs by herself, and there’s a lot of stairs in this house. She likes to roam around outside, too, and can’t get out there.
  • Summer has morphed into fall. V is starving in his room. Lillie has gone about her life, including inviting people over even though she’s letting her husband die. Nobody seems to care about the strange locked door in the house, nor the noises coming from the other side of it.

Seems I might have turned aging off accidentally.

  • Caleb and Lillie became partners in crime.
  • Lillie managed to get pregnant, and she’s so happy about it. Like, unnaturally happy about it. She popped in on V to let him know, and celebrated with him, and then went back to what she had been doing before. After a while, she started to browse parenting forums, and has been thinking a lot about toys and the like. I guess I’m going to have to set up some kind of stupid kid’s room now. Damnit. DAMNIT LILLIE.
  • V’s dark side is very Nosferatu.
  • Meryl is super obsessed with the toilets in this house. She’s spending a lot of time staring at them, and chittering at them in her raccoon voice.

Meryl and her BFF, the toilet.

  • V has stopped being useful. He’s too hungry to do anything. (And I’ve just found out that you can’t starve a vampire to death.) I guess we’re gonna take him out in the sun.
  • The cat has aged up, thankfully. I have no idea how the aging got turned off. Now she’s an adult again, and we can attempt to get her some kittens.
  • This motherfucker will not die.
  • Oh, there he goes. Thank christ.
  • V has burst into flame from being in the sun. Or being left in the sun. Or being forced out into the sun. Whatever.

After a week of starvation, and three days in the sun, we “mourn” the loss of Vladislaus Straud. He was a good provider for a house, and a terrific father to the yet unborn child within Lillie’s womb. His paycheck will be missed.

  •  Lillie’s gone into labor! Time to see what a vampire baby looks like! And how this is even going to work! And wonder if Lillie is even going to take care of it. She’s gone all Dark because of her discomfort. This poor kid is going to be traumatized.
  • IT’S A GIRL! Please welcome Antoinette Covarrubias to the world.
  • Wait. Is this baby somehow human?

We Might Be Giving Up On The Raccoon™

Furry Hunt 2019. (that sounds like I’m gonna make Lillie do something awful to him. I’m not. Probably.)

  • Ainsley asked Lillie to go to GeekCon, so Lillie packed up Meryl, invited Magnus, and decided to drag V along for the ride. She discovered upon arrival that for some absurd reason, GeekCon is outside. Neither her nor V were very happy about this turn of events, and Ainsley – being evil – did not seem to care at all that they were uncomfortable. The Raccoon™ was nowhere to be seen. However, we did see a Princess Leia and a Darth Maul, so that was fun, if not ultimately unsatisfying.
  • V is now completely smitten with Lillie, they both have move-in moodlets when they’re hanging out now. But there’s also always evidence that she’s manipulated the situation, and that he wasn’t interested in her in the first place. More bad dates. Sub-par WooHooing. The fact that despite his romance bar being all the way full, they’re still only halfway friendly. It feels like he knows, somewhere deep in his heart, that she’s not who he wants to be with.
  • The Spice Festival came to town, and Lillie decided a whole bunch of people should go. She very specifically invited people she suspected to be The Raccoon™. Plus pulled Meryl and Magnus along for the ride again. Magnus is currently the only male cat she knows of that doesn’t have some kind of illness. For a bunch of cat lovers, these people sure don’t take their pets to the vet. Lillie might go buy some medicine for them and deal with it herself. So far Meryl hasn’t caught anything, but she’s also getting nowhere with Magnus. I digress. The spice festival was difficult, since Lillie can’t eat human food. But she learned from someone there that sometimes there are weird fruits, and that made her think of aliens, which is, as we know, a new obsession.
  • It’s weird that there’s been no sign of Caleb in a while.
  • Despite not being able to eat human food technically, Lillie won the Spicy Food Challenge, and got a shirt for it. And bragging rights? Hopefully she doesn’t vomit it all later, it’s gonna be just as bad coming up as it was going down. Flying high on her success, Lillie took the moment to invite V to stay the night with her (after some spicy makeouts on a park bench). He gladly accepted, but then didn’t actually go home with her. There were no alien plants found, but she did find a cowplant berry at the festival, which is strange enough for her tastes, I think.
  • None of the people Lillie invited were The Raccoon™.
  • It turns out that Lillie is scared of thunderstorms. This is bullshit. She’s a powerful vampire, the last thing she should be afraid of is thunderstorms. The sun makes sense. It hurts her. Thunderstorms? Fuck that. I’m going to find a way to fix this. I will not tolerate my vampire to be afraid of thunderstorms. I won’t have it.
  • Finally heard from Caleb, he decided he wanted to go workout with Lillie, which is kind of odd. Usually he wants to go get a drink, or hang out at some event. Maybe she hasn’t seen him in a while because he’s become a gym rat. It makes one wonder if vampires need to work out. I noticed while Lillie was practicing punching, that she has no reflection, I don’t know why I didn’t realize before, but it’s really obvious when she’s wearing boxing gloves, because they show up and nothing else does.
  • Lillie took Meryl to go see the vet, mostly to pick up meds for all the cats they’ve been running into that are sick, but I think also to make sure the little one is okay. She’s been around so many sick animals, and she’s been acting lazy, which isn’t like her. Also, maybe there would be a valid mate for her in the area.
  • Meryl is fine. Lillie got her some preventative shots, though, to be safe.
  • To further the agenda of getting V’s house, Lillie proposed to him. In the most Lillie way possible. On his front porch, in the middle of a storm, while Meryl complained nearby about the lack of a litterbox. Man, she’s smooth. In all likelihood, there’s not going to be an actual wedding. They’ll just elope. Given how much she keeps thinking about kids, though, I might let them try for a baby. A vampire baby. She’ll have somebody in the house besides herself who can take care of the thing, which will be good for everybody. I’m sure vampire babies are much more difficult to take care of than normal babies.
  • I started to get paranoid about Meryl’s age, so while at the vet, I made Lillie purchase the age down treat. (I’ve had a recent loss, and maybe I shouldn’t have gotten a Sim cat.) Now Meryl is a kitten again. Which is fine. Maybe this will also mean she’ll stop obsessing about having kittens herself for a while. It’ll give me some time to get Lillie and V married and the house set up, and then we can work on having some kind of feline orgy party when she’s old enough to care again.

I think it’s time to give up on this Raccoon™. I’ve tried everything I can to find him again, and nothing. There’s no sign of him anywhere. Maybe he was a figment of Lillie’s hunger. Maybe he was stalking Meryl. Who knows. Nobody can say. I’m going to push forward with the goal of getting V’s house, and getting Meryl some kittens. I’m also going to have Lillie visit my other Sims, so she can have some interactions with them. And then I’m going to go back to them, and start pushing their lives forward. There’s a lot to do over there. I’ve got all these new things for them to try, and I’ve been focusing on the vampire stuff only. That wasn’t the plan, Marsha!

Lillie in her fancy Spicy shirt

Phantom boxing gloves

  • Somehow, despite leveling up a couple skills, Lillie had an awful New Skill Day. Now she’s depressed about it. She also attacked a stranger and drank plasma from them, so she’s also depressed about that.
  • A promotion in her career! Lillie is now making decent money, and I think we’re out of the woods on that. Something really bad would have to happen for her to run out of money at this point. It is Lillie, though. So anything is possible.
  • V and Lillie have decided to take an actual vacation, instead of just a vacation day from work. They’ve rented a little spot in the jungle of Selvadora for a day. It’s cute. Meryl is being looked after by a nanny while Lillie is gone. (I wanted them to get married while on vacation, but apparently that’s not a thing? Weird. Destination weddings should be a thing.) The people in this place seem to know what Lillie and V are, and don’t approve of them at all. There’s constant negative emotions from them.
  • Lillie took a bit of a wander into the jungle by herself. She ran into another Sim being eaten by a carnivorous vine. Luckily, she was able to grab the sim and get out without injury. Then she got attacked by a swam of bees. V is lost somewhere in town, he didn’t want to explore with her, apparently, which was obviously a much better choice. She slid down the side of a mountain on a mudslide trying to get out, and now she’s filthy for two hours.
  • I think Lillie’s about had it with the jungle.
  • When she got home, Caleb immediately wanted to go to GeekCon, so Lillie decided to do that, despite the fact that she was supposed to be at work. While there, she tinkered with building a rocket, and now she has the option to explore space. Space means aliens. LILLIE LOVES ALIENS. She’s going to be so stoked.
  • V and Lillie finally had their quickie elopement. Mostly just so we could get her into the house sooner. A bonus of this is that her savings went from $19,858 to $51,247. Though why doesn’t V have more money to his name? He’s got a job. We’ll fix this. And then we’ll kill him and take his house for our own. I mean… wait. What?
  • The house has been set up to Lillie’s preferences. Meryl has her toys and her pet care items (She’s not aging back up though, so that’s weird.), and V has been locked in a room by himself with an easel. Let’s see how long it takes him to die.

The Vampire Raccoon Furry Quest Part Two

We’re gonna find this guy if it kills us.

  • Lillie visited Caleb at his house for the first time, and I think she’s having some serious home jealousy. He’s got some swank digs. She was all good moodlets and happiness and admiration while in there. Me? I was imagining redoing a couple rooms, and changing the color scheme. We might Black Widow this shit. Can you kill a vampire? Could we starve him? How cold would we have to be to go through with it? We kind of like Caleb, even though he’s a shit sometimes.
  • Her second trip was to drop in on Count Vladislaus, since she was getting all nosey about people’s houses.
  • Mind changed. Vladislaus’ house is the house we want.
  • The Count is proving to be a difficult nut to crack, romantically. He seems to really like Lillie one moment, and then the next, he’s looking down his nose at her. We’re going to get this guy. And we’re gonna take his house.
  • Lillie has learned everything there is to learn about vampires. She can cure them with a drink. Perhaps she will cure Vladislaus and then kill him.
  • Suddenly Lillie is all about aliens. She’s constantly thinking about them. This is really random.
  • It turns out that Lillie is just really bad at dating. V asked her out, and they went to a nice little spot to get drinks, and she thought they were having a nice time, they chatted, they flirted. But in the end, he said “That was nice I guess, maybe I’ll call you sometime.” rude.
  • Ainsley just starts cleaning up when she comes over now, no need for Lillie to compel her to do anything. It’s pretty nice to have a servant to do the things that are beneath a vampire.
  • It’s a good sign that V keeps asking Lillie out on dates. It’s not a good sign that they’re not ever very successful. Maybe he knows that she plans to take his house from him. This time he told her to never call again, though. Normally, I would think this is a Charisma issue. She’s got a pretty high Charisma, though, at this point. Lillie has decided using her vampiric allure is the only way to make this work.
  • She cannot figure out who the Raccoon is. She thought it was somebody, but they turned out to not be a vampire. We know for a fact that the furry is a vampire.
  • Lillie and V went to the romance festival (taking Meryl and Magnus for yet another try at kittens). She hoped very much to entice V a little more than she’s been able to on her own. Thankfully, it worked. They shared a cup of sakura tea, sat and talked for a while, and then got very flirty. After talking to the Love Guru about what the future might hold, V and Lillie shared their first kiss. Magnus slept the entire time, and Meryl didn’t get any action at all, which she made her disappointment very clear on. Shortly after the festival, V and Lillie went on another date, where they became boyfriend and girlfriend officially, and there was some indication that they would like to move in together. However, somehow the date itself ended in another “don’t call me, ever”. (It seems to me that the dating mechanic might be glitched. There’s no way they did all that and then had a bad date. Maybe it’s that they didn’t end up at the venue it was supposed to be at? Because I couldn’t find it when they got to the area?)  After the date, V took her home and they had their first WooHoo. Then they had their second WooHoo in a coffin.
  • Obsessions have been wavering between kids and aliens. If there’s a way to combine the two, I think Lillie would be in hog heaven.
  • Lillie is now a Grand Master vampire. She has leveled up in that way as much as she can, though there’s still the opportunity to get more traits. She has taken the weaknesses of Fitful Sleep (doesn’t get as much power recovery) and Uncontrollable Hissing (pretty much what it sounds like.) She was already doing the hissing thing before, the difference is now it makes every human around her uncomfortable. She seems pretty okay with it, though.
  • Her career is going well. She finally has a fair amount of savings. It’s not a wild amount of riches, but at least Meryl isn’t going to starve to death. Lillie was also able to buy two more gardening plots, and has three plasma trees going to supply her own food, just in case she runs out of money again. She also took up writing as a hobby, and has progressed far enough that she’s able to publish, and she’s getting a decent amount in royalties. Soon enough, hopefully, she will be able to start writing songs and licensing them.
  • Lillie has started travelling everywhere as a bat.

So the good news is that two of the goals have been achieved. Lillie has money and a good career, and she’s a Very Good Vampire now. However, we still haven’t found the raccoon furry. And now we’ve got this other goal of getting Vladislaus’ house. As much as I want to get back to the main game and work on getting everyone over there sorted, I think we’re going to have to visit Lillie again.

I’ve also been contemplating introducing Lillie to somebody in the main game and throwing a wrench in their lives.

Lillie’s Search For The Vampire Raccoon Furry

Once more into the breach, friends. Same goals today. Get Lillie some money, make her a more powerful vampire. But also? Let’s see if we can’t suss out who the raccoon is. I think that Lillie really needs to be friends with this person.

  • Lillie has started to only talk to Caleb out on the porch. I don’t know what this is about, but it’s kind of funny. He walks in, she greets him with a hug, but then they go outside to talk, no matter what hour it is. Meryl sits with them. Maybe it’s because her house is so small and it’s already cramped with just vampire and cat inside. Adding another body is too much.
  • Lillie has become best friends with Caleb. Which I don’t understand. He treats her a bit poorly. I would think that you’d want your best friend to be somebody who, I don’t know, DOESN’T leave you places after the event is over without saying bye, and also shows up to planned outings. But you do you, Lillie.
  • Ainsley has been resistant to Lillie’s requests for permission to feed up until now, but she’s warming up to other vampire whatnot, so I think it’s just a matter of time. She’s very susceptible to suggestion, and Lillie can compel the action, but she always feels guilty about it. She’s also started to grow a plasma tree, so that should help with her near constant thirst. (I don’t get this, honestly. The needs screen says they rarely get thirsty, but Lillie gets to that point very fast.)
  • Just to see what would happen, I let Lillie get to the point that she couldn’t control herself. She had a deep drink from a stranger who was passing by, but it wasn’t as dramatic as I thought it was going to be. And of course she’s now feeling guilty about it.
  • Meryl did not get pregnant, again. So it’s back to the cat hangout for a third time to see if we can’t get her some kittens. Is it just because she wants to get with Mayor Whiskers and he’s not having it? Or is her raccoon voice putting the other cats off? She’s so cute, it’s breaking my heart that none of these cats are interested in her. Maybe we’ll try a different cat hangout this time.
  • Lillie has encouraged Meryl to breed with Bartholomew A. Bittlebun JR. I approve of this happening.
  • No luck. Bartholomew is sick, and hopefully hasn’t passed it on to Meryl. The Mayor is still not interested. I don’t know how to make this happen.
  • Lillie got into trouble at work, she was asked to MC an event for animal lovers, and mined the internet for last minute material, and everybody got mad. She had to donate most of her pay to make up for it. This really hurts our goal of her having any money at all.
  • One last try for now. Meryl is encouraged to breed with Magnus. And then she goes and fights with him. But it also says in her commands that she’s recently mated, and to wait a day. So. … I guess?
  • Caleb asked Lillie out on a date. An actual date. Not just as an introduction to the neighborhood, or friends hanging out. He took her to some abandoned event location, and then they practiced their vampire powers. They sat and talked for a while, but in the end, Caleb was apparently unimpressed by the date, and told Lillie to never call him again. I think it might be a very bad idea for these two to be anything other than BFF.
  •  The Vampire Raccoon Furry is still undiscovered.
  • Doesn’t look like it was a success with Meryl and Magnus. Caleb wants to have a heart to heart at the cat bar, so I guess we’ll try one more time to get Meryl her kittens. This is frustratingly difficult. Who knows what Caleb wants to talk about, and really, who cares. MERYL NEEDS KITTENS. – Turns out you can invite friendly animals wherever you go. So I guess I’m doing that all the time now. Or at least until we get Meryl knocked up.
  • Caleb and Lillie are going to the Flea Market again. Maybe it’ll be more fun this time, since she’s got that umbrella. She didn’t get to see any of the stuff last time.
  • Lillie can no longer eat human food. It makes her sick. Happily, this means we can get rid of the stupid things in the kitchen she has no use for, and fit something else that’s maybe more fun.
  • There was nothing at the Flea Market that Lillie was interested in, and Caleb wandered off again without letting her know. But Magnus and Meryl seemed to be getting along pretty well. I’m too dejected to hope at this point, though.
  • Progress was made on Lillie’s career. She’s a Jingle Jammer now, but she’s still only got 1000s in her savings. I think she’ll start to take up writing as a side gig. Maybe she can start gaming, too. There’s not a lot of money in gig work, but maybe if she does ALL the gigs at once, she can build some kind of savings.

Clearly, I did not manage to make as much progress here as I wanted to. Lillie is still poor, still a (mostly) horrible vampire, and we have no idea who the raccoon is.

Vampire Training

Another quick peek in on Lillie before we head back to the main game. I wanted to see if I could level her up and get some fortune amassed, because she’s a vampire, and there’s no reason she should only have a thousand simoleons to her name.

  • Lillie has taken up gardening. Parenting and gardening. These are seriously the least vampiric hobbies she could possibly have. I would say that maybe she wasn’t built to be a vampire, except she loves being a vampire so very much. She gets so happy when she’s around other vampires, and when she’s training, she gets really into it.
  • Talk Like A Pirate Day was a huge hit for Lillie. I don’t know why, but she really enjoyed pretending to be a pirate. I totally failed her by not making her a pirate outfit.
  • Caleb came over while Lillie was sleeping. She did not wake up when he got there. They’ve got a very strange relationship. I don’t know what to do with them, other than see where it goes. I can’t tell if he’s interested in her at all, or if this is just a thing they’re going to do.
  • Lillie has entered the Entertainer career. (Mostly because I’ve not played this before, and I’m interested in making her a famous broody loner. I wonder, too, how it’ll be influenced by her vampirism.) Unfortunately, because she needed a musical instrument, and violin is too perfect for a brooding vampire, she now has 236.00 in her bank account.
  • 231. She had to feed Meryl.
  • Lillie found an umbrella! (I FOUND AN UMBRELLA!)
  • Meryl did not get pregnant, and started to make it known that she still wants to, so it’s back to the cat hangout for Lillie and her kitten. This time, hopefully it’ll go better, since the umbrella is a thing, and she won’t keep walking outside and getting burned, thus draining her vampire energy, and making her almost turn dark.

Lillie has met her first furry. He’s a vampire. He is a vampire raccoon furry.

  • Upon meeting a young lady named Ainsley, Lillie has decided to maker herself a little minion. Somebody to clean her house and give her blood. So far, Ainsley is very susceptible to suggestion, which makes it a good pairing. Unfortunately, she’s also very moody. Very sad a lot. All the time. I think this is going to annoy Lillie eventually.

Had to cut this short, so there will be another dip into the vampire side of things before going back to the Main House.

A Quick Bite

Since I got the Vampires add-on, I wanted to play around a little bit with it. Just to see what I could do with it. Naturally, this begins with character creation.

  • I’ve decided to make a female vampire first.
  • She is a Genius Loner Bookworm who wants to be a Friend of Animals.
  • I’ve named her Lillie, and randomized her last name until I found Covarrubias, because I wanted to find an absurdly long surname. Vampires need absurdly long surnames, and there’s only so many characters allowed in the names field.
  • Oh, I get to add a Dark Form? Well. Well, I like this.
  • Well. It’s taken me twice as long to even get her set up as I want her to be. But that was a lot of fun.
  • I see. You have to add a pet like a family member. This bitch is getting a kitten.
  • OMG. I have named the kitten Meryl. She has a skeleton pattern, and I have given her a raccoon voice. I don’t know why I did that, but it was an option, so it happened.
  • Of course, I’ve decided to put my vampire in Forgotten Hollow. I mean. I have to, right? It’s like the rule of Goth girls making Sims vampires. The first one has to go in the vampire place. It might even be a law.

Here’s Lillie!

And Meryl! Meryl is way too cute.

A vampire and her kitten. (Sorry it’s blurry. I didn’t realize it when I took the photo.

  •  SHE WON’T STAY INSIDE. WHY WON’T SHE STAY INSIDE?!?!?! IT’S DAYTIME! SHE KEEPS BURNING. YOU’RE A VAMPIRE. STAY INSIDE.
  • Well, her house is kind of a run down mess, and I can’t afford to do much to fix it up outside of changing colors, but who puts a green toilet in a vampire’s house? Really. She’ll be moving out of this as soon as possible. This is absurd. No vampire should live like this.
  • Lillie’s neighbor has come over, his name is Caleb. I think he’s another vampire?
  • Oh no. She just tried to impress him with her vampire powers, and she failed at doing them. That’s really embarrassing.
  • Lillie is really not a very good vampire. She’s trying to sleep at night. Poor kiddo.
  • Oh fuck. I totally forgot to buy cat supplies. Meryl is doing the kitty peepee dance.
  • I’m a little disappointed that I can’t play as the cat. I mean. It seems like something I should be able to do. At least she figured out the litter box without being trained, since that’s apparently not something I can do, either. And for such a tiny little kitten, she sure does expel a lot of shit. A LOT OF SHIT.
  • Caleb has asked her out to the mischief festival? She said okay. She’s discovered he carries an umbrella, and that seems like a really smart thing to do. She’s gonna have to figure out where to get one. (Meaning, I’m gonna have to figure out where to get her one.) The festival is okay. She doesn’t know anyone yet, though, so she’s having a hard time playing pranks (she joined the dark side), and she lost a lot of her vampire power because she’s hungry, the plasma that she was gifted doesn’t seem to satisfy long. Lillie’s decided to try to compel a stranger into a deep drink, which has gone okay, though I don’t think this poor woman is ever going to be her friend now.
  • The festival ended, and Caleb just left. Just, fucked off without saying goodbye. Rude.
  • Meryl is obsessed with the toilet…
  • And now Meryl is no longer a kitten. That was really fast. I don’t like how fast that was. She’s also very naughty, she keeps getting on the counter and does not care what Lillie says about it.
  • Lillie has now met another vampire by the name of Salma, and is torn between some stranger danger feelings, and wanting to get trained to be a better vampire. Which she really desperately needs.
  • It weirds me out that Lillie spends so much time browsing parenting forums, and looking at parenting websites. Not to mention outright getting into arguments on parenting forums. Like. What does she want here? A little baby vampire? A little baby human? A human she can make into a vampire? She’s a loner. What does she think this is going to do for her, and how the hell does she think it’s going to be possible in her tiny shithole house? She doesn’t even have a love interest, and I’m not letting her adopt on her own without proof that she can STOP GOING OUT INTO THE SUN. Goddamnit, Lillie.
  • Caleb is taking Lillie out to a concert. He’s a really nice guy, keeps checking in on her to make sure she’s getting settled in the neighborhood, taking her places, being her friend. She seems pretty indifferent about him, though. Or maybe they’re not going to a concert? I think Caleb just stood her up. He’d better be ill.
  • Lillie’s mysterious benefactor is Vladislaus Straud. He’s decided to become her mentor.
  • Meryl … wants babies I guess? I had to look this up, I didn’t understand what was going on with the floaty hearts. Maybe I should let her have babies? Am I prepared for tiny kittens? More importantly, is Lillie?
  • Lillie took Meryl to a cat hang out, I’m not entirely sure, but I think Meryl was flirting with a cat named Mayor Whiskers. I don’t know if anything has happened. I don’t know how to tell, other than to wait to see if there are kittens. I think he might be a little put off by her raccoon noises.
  • Caleb asked Lillie to the circus, and then didn’t show again. I don’t know what’s happening here.
  • Caleb and Lillie have taken to vampiric sparring in her front yard…
  • Caleb decided he wanted to go to the Flea Market, and he finally showed up for it. I don’t mean to say that Lillie fighting him in her front yard had anything to do with it, but I mean, the evidence is right there. He bailed on her twice, then she kicks his ass, and he shows up for the third time. He did, however, abandon her there again, so she went off to the nearby karaoke bar, and participated in the contest, despite the fact that she’s never sung before. She did not win.
  • Lillie has leveled up to a Prime Vampire, and has taken the weaknesses of Guilty Drinker – she feels bad when she takes plasma without permission, and Sleep Of The Undead – she has to sleep in a coffin.
  • I don’t think Meryl is going to have kittens. I’m kinda sad for Meryl.
