- Lillie went to work the day after she gave birth to Antoinette. I tried to keep her home, but the option for family leave did not appear in the options. So she got a nanny for the day. Buuuut the nanny left before Lillie’s shift was over. I had no idea that the kid would be sent to daycare, but I’m SUPER GLAD SHE WAS. Holy fuck. The baby would have been left alone for a really long time, as Lillie was only halfway through her workday.
- V showed up as a ghost and cried a lot.
- Lillie planted a cow plant seed, and then with the baby kind of forgot about it. It grew anyway, and it’s adorable. It also apparently tries to lure sims in with pie? Perhaps to eat them? Maybe I should have waited to kill V to see if that’s what it does. (I’m trying to google as little as possible, if you couldn’t tell.)
- Ainsley came over and instead of coming inside, she saw V’s gravestone and started crying. Lillie kept trying to show the baby off, and Ainsley wouldn’t come inside.
- Oh no. The cow plant died. OH NO. This is horrible. It looks pretty cool though. BUT ALSO, OH NO.
- Antoinette has aged up to a toddler, and I cannot help but wonder how the FUCK she turned out to be a ginger. This makes no sense. NONE.
- Lillie can travel as a bat with Antoinette in her arms. That’s pretty cool. Maybe scary for the baby, though.
- Lillie really hates being a single parent. She isn’t as interested in having a kid now that she actually has one. There’s a lot of issue getting her to take care of said child.
- Meryl is sick, and Lillie is having a hard time finding a moment to take her to the vet between the kid and work. She’s really unhappy with her life at the moment, never gets a second to rest, and is always stressed out. I feel like this is what she gets for being so baby crazy without understanding what that means. It’s a really good thing that Antoinette is a quiet, loving baby, and not some shitty hellion demon from Bratlandia. When she finally gets to take Meryl to the vet, it costs several hundred to cure her.
- Finally, with a few days off, Lillie decides to take Antoinette to the cat hangout so they can relax, and so Meryl can have a chance to try for kittens again. Which is probably not a great idea, given how much stress Lillie is feeling about everything at the moment.
- Lillie is such a staunch loner that spending time with her own kid makes all her moodlets go down.
- Antoinette has aged up to a child. No more toddler running around bullshit, and now Lillie doesn’t have to worry about a nanny when she wants to go do anything. Hopefully this will help her moods. The kid, on the other hand, is depressed, because she didn’t get a birthday party (because when I tried to give her one, the game told me that nobody in the house was having a birthday, and then suddenly she’d aged.) So we’re starting this stage of life on a real good note. She’s also gone from a ginger to having brown hair.
- Meryl finally found a male cat who wasn’t intimidated by her, and she’s going to have some kittens! Baby daddy is legit named Chandler. He’s a freaking nutball, too. The important thing here is that there are going to be kittens in the house! I wonder how many. This was probably a mistake.
- A strange difficulty I keep running into is that Antoinette doesn’t like Lillie very much, because Lillie does that hissing thing that causes discomfort for everyone around her. It’s causing Ant to be Very Sad a lot, and she doesn’t often listen to Lillie’s guidance. I think the saving grace here is the amount of studying about parenting that Lillie did before she even had a kid. Her time spent arguing on the forums gave her a pretty bulky parenting stat going in. With it only raising with every act of Momming she does, she’s gotten to a point where, now that Ant is a kid and susceptible to direction, the girl actually listens. But I think that she might benefit for some time away from Lillie, if I can figure out how to arrange that without triggering the Left Behind sadness.
- The kitten has been born! (I’m so glad it was only one kitten.) (also, that was a really fast pregnancy) Right now it looks exactly like Meryl. I wonder if it’ll change anything when aging up. Her name is Sasha, and she seems to have gotten most of her personality traits from Chandler. I’m glad the coat decoration was a dominant trait, though. I wonder if I can breed other colors into it. I saw a breeding thing when I was making Meryl.
- Ainsley stopped coming around so much when Lillie moved into the new house, so she decided to get a butler (I gave her the perk of not paying for services when I could afford to). I wanted her to have somebody who could make food for Ant and clean up while she tended to everything else she was into. The first butler was an ass. He didn’t do what he was supposed to, and he was really rude to everybody. Lillie fired him and tried again, this time finding somebody who doesn’t seem to mind the household so much, and is good at his job. Hilariously, the cats keep trying to fight him because they’re territorial.
- The still-quite-dead Vladislaus keeps asking Ant if she wants to come over to his house. That she is currently living in. I am a little weirded out about this. It’s creepy, especially considering he’s still quite firmly wearing his Dark Side and looks like Nosferatu, thus it’s Nosferatu asking a little girl if she wants to come hang out outside her own home.
- Sasha has aged up, and still looks enough like Meryl that it’s very confusing.
- Ant is going through A Phase. She’s questioning authority, talking back. Lillie’s about to lay down the law. This is not going to happen in this house.

The cow plant. Before and after. I’m so sad that this happened. So very very sad. It was so cute.

Look! The baby is floating!

They’re so cute. And so hard to tell apart.

This is a bit on the blurry side, but I had to have proof of it in this post. It’s creepy, right?
- To break the current monotony of trying to keep a kid in line, Lillie decided to take Ant to the park with Caleb. Give her a chance to make some friends maybe, and hang out. Probably not the greatest idea for a vampire to go to the park, but she’s so stressed out she doesn’t know what to do with herself. Plus, Meryl is now an elderly cat, and the butler she thought was so great just ceased doing any kind of work. She should have eaten him.
- Somehow the park trip went well, even though Ant kept falling asleep, and Caleb was moody as fuck. Lillie sent Ant home after that and went to the cat hangout to try to work on her aspirations of making friends with a bunch of animals. Of course, since it’s the dead of winter, there weren’t any animals out and about. Being 1am probably also didn’t help.
I think I’m gonna age down Meryl again. I think I’m just going to age down Meryl forever. Probably Sasha, too.
- Just to see what would happen, I let Ant accept an invitation from V to go to his house. Yeah. Nothing. She’s in the house. This is such a weird glitch. There was no interaction. No sign of him coming inside.
- Ant is a pretty okay kid, for being a kid. But sometimes she’s such a shitface. Lillie took her to volunteer at a nursing home to make her grow some empathy. Hopefully she won’t be such a monster as a teenager. It’s weird, because every other trait is in the green, and she’s sitting at neutral empathy.
